John Steddin has been in the computer networking, service and repair field for more than 30 years. He received an AS degree in 1992 in Computer and Electronics from Heald Institute of Technology of San Francisco. He then was hired at a local computer shop. After gaining work experience, he started taking networking class and working in the corporate world as an analyst (Corporate speak for troubleshooter). It was while doing this that he formed his own company – NorthBay Computer Systems, Inc. and begin working for himself.
In all that time spent in doing all aspects of computer networking, troubleshooting and technology deployments he discovered a need to be proficient in network cabling, troubleshooting, installing and placement of all things IT. In California, if your computer professional is going in install wiring beyond laying it on the floor and over to a switch they need to become a certified California Contractor and in 2022 a new company was formed Local Low Voltage and was awarded a C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor License number 1107363
We have experience in both large jobs and small ones. We have installed a wireless network in a 160,000-sf warehouse, many stores and smaller warehouses. We have wired new offices from scratch and added subliminal lines to exciting offices. We have set up video security and ran PoE lines to those. We have also done wiring in exciting homes for network expansion, WiFi and security.
